Mentoring

In March 2017 Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands was privileged to organize the first Global Mentoring Walk in the Netherlands. Each year the Global Mentoring Walks convene established women leaders to mentor emerging women leaders as they walk together in their communities. These women are different, but they are guided by a shared belief: power expands the moment it is shared. Through their efforts, thousands of women and girls came together across cultures, generations, religions, countries and identities to bring this message to life.

This was the 4th time the Global Mentoring Walk (GMW) took place in Amsterdam!

Year on year the number of the participants grew significantly! The 2020 walk was organized by the Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands Society (PPW), in cooperation with the Vital Voices and it  was  a very successful edition. The event was divided in three parts: the opening followed by two engaging presentations. The first presentation was delivered by our member, Dr Magdalena Sedek, who is an active member of Merck Women In Leadership Programme, Diversity & Inclusion, Life Science in The Netherlands. The second presentation was delivered by our guest Merida Miller, who spoke about the importance of female empowerment on early life stages and promoted the Project Fearless that she is the founder of.
