GUEST SPEAKER Mérida Miller

Mérida is an entrepreneur and founder of Project Fearless, nominated to Top 25 Innovations in Education by the Blue Tulip Awards.

Having built a successful career in the apparel innovation design industry, Mérida Miller spent a lot of time working with people, understanding their motivations and their barriers and how to get the best out of them. In 2019 she founded Project Fearless, a non-profit in Amsterdam that creates after school programs for girls aged 9-14. The courses focus on girls sharing experiences where they can step out of their comfort zones, find their voice, and create an impact in their communities.

With Project Fearless, Mérida highlights how important it is to provide both a physical space and the right kind of empowering but supportive atmosphere for girls to get the most out of their experience.

This is about igniting and nurturing the kind of bold, brave, risk-taking, adventurous and confident individuals who can tackle what life throws at them and reach the top of any ladder they wish to climb.

In her presentation, Empowered Girls become Empowered Women, Mérida will highlight why the ages 9-14 are crucial when it comes to empowering and inspiring the next generation. And how Project Fearless is creating an impact through accessible role models, who are defining success for themselves, showing girls what is possible for their own futures.
