On 12th of November 2016 the first Polish Professional Women Social Responsibility meeting organized in cooperation with a Dutch organization Vrouwen Vooruit took place!
Our volunteers: Magdalena Sedek, Agnieszka Staruch-van Dam and Agnieszka Rybak performed as speakers during the meeting and shared their experiences in the Netherlands with the participants of the ‘Op weg naar werk’ course.
By organizing this course, Vrouwen Vooruit enables women from immigrant communities integrating into the job market; this is accomplished through support and guidance in their professional development. This is an equally important goal for Polish Professional Women that has a similar focus on independence and entrepreneurship of women. The speakers shared their advice, motivation and positive energy which was overall very encouraging and at times even emotional. We discussed the obstacles on the way to professional independence and about the ways to overcome them. We are very pleased to be an inspiration to others and that our stories, with at times numerous challenges, are an example and help others.
