swiat z covid-19

One day, the battle against Covid-19 will be won. But our world may look very different from the one we lived in before the pandemic began.

Many people lost their lives, but on top of this tragic human toll is that the coronavirus threatens incalculable social, economic, and political costs. Financial markets may never recover to pre-crisis levels. Restrictions on the movement will help some governments tighten autocratic control, and civil liberties could be limited. Many people are already questioning the merit of multilateral organizations such as the WHO or the United Nations because of a lack of consistent responses to the health crisis. There is a lot of fear and doubt in all aspects of our lives concerning the future. There are several possible future scenarios and they depend on the responses from governments and society. Hopefully, we will use this crisis to rebuild, to produce something better and more humane. Let’s focus on the positive changes that have already happened and will probably stay with us for a long time.

Remote working

Most likely, more and more workers will split their time between working from home and showing up at an office. I think many professionals have understood that they can work most of the time online. We already have so many good tools to work remotely, that it is no longer an issue. From my experience, I see more opportunities through online work or online learning. It is more efficient and creative. Besides, we’ll save time and money on commuting to work.

Virtual education for kids

Of course, I can’t imagine permanent online learning for children at home, but extra activities for sure. Giving an example, learning languages by Skype with native speakers is a brilliant idea. Especially since kids can do fun and interactive exercises combining learning and playing at the same time.

Internet shopping

We can buy everything on the Internet with delivery within the next two or three days, straight to our door. It’s so convenient for me that I’ll stick with it, and probably a significant percentage of people will as well. It saves me time and money because I don’t buy things anymore that I don’t need.

Changing our eating habits

People have re-evaluated their diets, we have finally realized there is a link between food and health. Awareness of how food affects our body and immunity has increased. More people buy unprocessed food from direct sources and pay attention to nutritional content.

A healthy mind in a healthy body

More and more people are exercising and doing sports to cope with stress and anxiety. A daily dose of activity also strengthens your immunity. The routine we have developed now will pay off in the future.

Stronger bond with our loved ones

It was a tough time, but also the time that has taught me to be here and now. A new dimension of life with my son, with a new routine and many compromises. I’m very grateful for this time. I learned so many things from my three-year-old child. I believe most mothers reached the same conclusion.

Awareness of massive responsibility

It is the butterfly effect of human connectedness. What we do today, has consequences tomorrow. What we do here, can significantly affect people there. I think it’s the most important lesson that the world has given us. We need to care about other people and animals, about our planet, and we should live a more complete life.
